Menzies Aviation wins UK-wide MNG Airlines contract17-Sep-2007 |

Tags :Uncategorised (CAPA) Menzies Aviation announced the award of a MNG Airlines contract which covers cargo handling at all Menzies UK & Ireland stations together with regional trucking services throughout the UK. The three-year contract, which began on 17-Aug-07, also includes freighter ramp handling at Manchester airport. Currently MNG operates four weekly scheduled freighters between Istanbul and London Luton Airport using A300 Freighters, plus a number of ad-hoc services into Manchester. John Redmond, Director UK & Ireland, Menzies Aviation, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by MNG Airlines to handle their UK/Ireland cargo and regional trucking, in addition to the freighter ramp handling at Manchester, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with them” MNG’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr Hakki Oztekin, said: "We are very pleased to have signed the contract with Menzies Aviation who is a very distinguished Ground Handling Supplier in the world. This contract is a very important one, as MNG is commercially very focussed on the Istanbul – London route with a current market share of 45%. MNG has been offering its reliable and express freighter service since this route was opened in 1998, and we are sure that this service will continue more successfully with the contribution of Menzies." |
