New USD122 million Mohammed V International Airport Terminal inaugurated10-Sep-2007 |

Tags :Uncategorised (CAPA) King Mohammed VI of Morocco inaugurated on 08-Sep-07 Terminal 2 of Mohammed V international airport of Casablanca, which cost USD122 million. The new 66,000 sqm facility is expected to receive 6 million passengers p/a, thus bringing the annual capacity of the airport to 11 million passengers. The terminal has modern equipments in terms of flight safety, an access check-point using video, ten telescopic steps, 32 baggage counters, ten elevators, 77 fixed cameras, 14 hand-held baggage detectors, and a 1,400-car parking area. The terminal is funded by the African Development Bank (USD65 million), the National Airports Office (USD35.6 million) and the African Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) with USD 21 million. |
