Robin Hood Airport is set to have a flying start to the New Year, as Flybe’s popular route to Jersey has been upped from three to four flights per week throughout summer 2010.

Following the success of landing easyJet, Doncaster Sheffield Airport has secured the extra flight with Flybe, thanks to strong sales for the Channel Island destination throughout 2009.

Jodi Stow, Marketing and Communications Manager for Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield said: “We are delighted that Flybe has decided to increase the number of flights from Robin Hood Airport to such a wonderful destination, which has proven popular with our passengers.

“This is more great news for the airport and for travellers, who can now choose from a wider range of dates to book their journey.”

With over 19,000 seats on sale on the expanded route, Flybe’s Jersey service from Doncaster/Sheffield departs on a Tuesday, Thursday Saturday and Sunday from April 2010 and is currently bookable until October 2010. Flybe also offers a six times weekly service to Belfast City Airport from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.
