Tags :North America THE METROPOLITAN NASHVILLE AIRPORT AUTHORITY (MNAA) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from interested consulting engineering firms with extensive experience in airport runway safety area design for the “RUNWAY SAFETY AREA FINAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION, PHASE I, CIP 1191” project at the John C. Tune Airport, Nashville, Tennessee. The project will address: final RSA design, roadway relocation, runway pavement design, storm water and water quality improvements, final engineering report, environmental and archaeological assessments, topographical survey, and any geological investigations needed. One original and six copies of the Statement of Qualifications will be received by Ms. Nena Bowling, Specifications Writer, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, One Terminal Drive, Suite 501, Nashville, Tennessee, 37214, until 2:00 p.m. on March 9, 2010. MNAA shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, handicap, or sex in the award and performance of the Contract, or in the administration of its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (“DBE Program”) or the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26. MNAA shall take all necessary and reasonable steps under 49 CFR Part 26 to ensure non-discrimination in the award and administration of DOT-assisted contracts. MNAA’s DBE Program, as required by 49 CFR Part 26 and as approved by DOT, is incorporated by reference. Implementation of this DBE program is a legal obligation and failure to carry out its terms shall be treated as a violation of any agreement executed with MNAA. Upon notification to MNAA of its failure to carry out its approved DBE Program, the DOT may impose sanctions as provided for under Part 26 and may, in appropriate cases, refer this matter for enforcement under 18 U.S.C. 1001 and/or the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act of 1986 (31 U.S.C. 3801 et seq.) MNAA has established a Contract goal of a minimum of Four point Seven-Five percent (4.75%) to be performed by a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The DBE participation percentages submitted will be a material representation upon which MNAA is relying in making an evaluation for award of this Contract. Respondents are advised that meeting or exceeding DBE subcontract goals or making an acceptable good faith effort to meet such goals are conditions of being awarded this Contract. A Pre-proposal meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. (CST) on February 17, 2010, in the Board Room, located on the 4th Floor of the main terminal building of the Nashville International Airport. This meeting will provide potential respondents with additional project information and allow for questions regarding the project. Attendance is NOT mandatory. Responses will be reviewed and selection procedures will be followed in compliance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14D (49 CFR Part 18) for the Procurement of Architectural, Engineering, and Planning Consultant Services. The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, through its President, reserves the right to reject any and all responses, to waive any irregularities in the responses received and to accept any responses which, in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.
