Connections to Helsinki Airport will improve significantly when a new budget airline opens flights to Finland. Norwegian will begin service to Helsinki Airport in April. The airline operates flights from Oslo and Stockholm four times daily.

"Norwegian is one of Europe's major budget carriers. Its arrival at Helsinki Airport will increase the airport's flight offering considerably," says Finavia Marketing Director Kimmo Ruotsalainen.

Flights to Helsinki Airport will begin on 29 April. Norwegian flies from both Oslo and Stockholm from Monday to Friday. Flights to both destinations are operated twice a day on weekdays. Weekend flights are also offered. The routes are served by B737 aircraft.

Norwegian has announced that it will begin selling tickets today (11 February) at 3:00 p.m. One-way fares start at EUR 35, including taxes and fees.

Other airlines serving Oslo and Stockholm are Blue1, Finnair and SAS.
