The Houston Airport System (HAS) is celebrating a new and improved William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) on July 16, 2010. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will celebrate the significant milestones already reached in a $250 million remodeling project.

This project includes a new ticketing area, renovated lobby and three art pieces.

Media wishing to attend the event must contact the Houston Airport System media hotline for clearance at (281) 233-1234. On the morning of the event, media should arrive by 8:30 a.m.; a HAS representative will be stationed at the main lobby entrance to assist members of the media in finding the ribbon cutting location.

This recent remodeling program brings a significant change to one of the most recognizable facilities in the city. It also positions Hobby Airport to maintain its current status as an industry leader in regards to overall customer satisfaction.
