On 22-Jan-09, operations of a recently refurbished hotel Holiday Inn Prague Airport (originally hotel Tranzit) will be launched. The hotel features a total of 75 fully furnished rooms, conference areas with all necessary PA equipment, restaurants serving specialties of Czech and international cuisines or a lobby bar.
Budapest Airport finalized (16-Jan-09) the first phase of its voluntary noise insulation program by providing noise insulation for the sleeping quarters of properties located in Üll, the neighboring community of the airport.

A new Austrian airlines business-lounge was opened (13-Jan-09) at Domodedovo International Airport. The spacious (470 sqm) lounge is situated on the second floor of the International Airlines Gallery and has a capacity of 74 seats.
Budapest Airport signed (23-Dec-08) a contract with Kesz Zrt., a company from Szeged, Hungary, for the extension and refurbishment of Terminals 2A and 2B. The EUR200 million investment signals the beginning of the phase of the development program for Ferihegy Airport, the construction of the new centralised passenger terminal with the landmark building called BUD SkyCourt, linking the Terminal 2A and 2B.
